Wednesday May 26th is pizza day at the boys' school. They also will have swimming lessons that afternoon and I will be off to bootcamp that evening. A normal Wednesday in a normal week for us EXCEPT that on Wed. May 26th there will also be a court hearing in Ethiopia to finalize our adoption. If all goes well, we will pass court and be able to move on to the next step in our adoption. If we don't pass court (which happens frequently due to reasons beyond our control) we will simply be given a new court date (usually a few weeks later) and try again. In a perfect world, we would pass court and then travel to Ethiopia but unfortunately, the paperwork required to bring her to Canada takes months to get. I'm just so pleased that we got a court date so quickly after our referral. Sharing this news is exciting and bittersweet at the same time because of the families I know that are still waiting for a court date. You are never far from my thoughts.
Please cross your fingers for us on the 26th.

Yay!!! A court date!!! Fingers crossed that all the paperwork needed is ready to go and everything gets passed without a hitch!

May 26th sounds like a great day to me! I will start praying on the 25th because Ethiopia is 12 hours ahead you know. I am organized that way...good thing.
